Encyclopedia Project Reflection
Through this project, I realized that mathematics, and statistics in particular make up the world that we live in. The most bizarre and unexpected patterns can pop up in the most unexpected places. In this case, we see an example in a 60's game show called Let's Make a Deal. More than anything, I've learned that math isn't a thing that is merely taught in school just because it's necessary, I've learned that it is taught because it is important.
Personally, I've learned that I have a natural tendency to seek out and learn about the weird quirks and patterns in the world. When I first learned about the Monty Hall Paradox, it struck me as so odd that I had to tell everyone I knew about it and how it was cool and intriguing. I think that if something strikes me as "cool", I'm going to seek it out more naturally and passionately than if I was assigned that same thing.
To show people what I have learned, I need to have a physical demonstration of the Monty Hall paradox so I can have the viewers interact with me and the concept so that they can take a deeper understanding from my exhibit. I don't want to have just the same, generic poster board presentation.
If I could do this project again, I would try to do something more applicable to the real world so that what I studied is usable in a more practical sense. While what I learned is intriguing and cool, it is not usable by any average person, unless, by some chance, they happen to be selected to participate on a game show.
If I could make one change and improve the Encyclopedia, it would be to make it easily accessible online. It would be extremely convenient to be able to access the encyclopedia from anywhere in the world when I have a question, not just from inside the classroom.

Semester Exam Project Reflection
This project was a fun and new idea for a project that I had never done before. It was a lot more difficult to create problems than I thought, so it was a little challenging at first. This project was extremely well designed. It tested our knowledge of what we had learned so far in this book, and it also helped us study. Since we had to do a 10 different types of problems, we covered a lot of chapters in review.
This project has definitely helped me study, but I will definitely run through the book to find problems that I don't completely understand so that I can review the problems. I will also be checking my notes in my Composition Notebook to help me find subjects that I need to brush up on and study a little more before the test.
This semester has more or less been a review semester for me, since I did study about half of the Algebra 2 book last year. However, I am learning new things and relearning old things as well. I can confidently say that I understand the majority of the content in the first half of this book, and I look forward to the second semester.
