How is art used in everyday life?
In day to day life, art can be used as a form of entertainment in the form of hobbies like painting, photography, drawing or even writing.
How and why is art used as a vehicle for communication?
Art can be used as a vehicle for communication as many things, like Television Shows, Advertisement, and the online news.
Why do Artists Produce Preliminary Plans? (sketches, brainstorms, storyboards, etc?)
Artists use Preliminary Plans so that if they get hung up or hit an obstacle that slows or stops their process, they can refer to their Plans and use them to resume progress on their project.

Seaworld Political Cartoon
I believe that I did meet the project objectives during this project. I created a simple, understandable political cartoon that gets a message across about the captivity of orca whales. My political cartoon shows a orca whale behind bars with a Seaworld employee proclaiming that the whale is completely sane and unharmed, when in fact, the reality is the opposite. If the viewer can interpret the art, art can be a very effective mean to spread information or portray information. It can also be used to portray a deeper dimension of meaning and understanding. Art can be used to spur emotions within humans, as well. As the artist of a piece, however, you get to decide the meaning of the artwork that you create. This

Self-Portrait
My self-portrait is not a portrait of me physically, but of my personality and of my growth as a person. Like a tree, my growth is slow and it can't be viewed in a short-term period of time. But over a longer period of time, my growth is evident.
Teacher Creature Project
Steve Smith, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
This is my teacher creature project. I played on the title of the 80's TV Show, Will Smith, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, but I replaced Will Smith's face with the face of Steve Smith, thus making this the TV Show, Steve Smith, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
This is my proof sheet. It includes all of the pictures that I used in my project.

PHOTOSHOP TURORIALS
Here, I used the Pen Tool to select the green eye on the right and a saturation slider to adjust the color of the eye to the one on the left.
Here, I used a Type Mask tool to overlay the original picture. I then selected the inverse area of the text and used the Paint Bucket to fill in all of the area. I also put a Bevel and Emboss effect on the Text Mask.
Here, I used a large amount of Marquees to move the golfer and his surroundings to the left. The real golfer is on the right. You can see the comparison between the real picture on the right and the picture on the left where I moved the golfer.
Landscape Project
This project was supposed to teach us about how to blend foregrounds, middle grounds, and backgrounds from different pictures into one cohesive picture. I took the Foreground from a picture of a meadow and I cropped out the middle ground and background of trees out. I took the middle ground from a rooftop shot of Denver. I cropped out the skyline of the city inserted it into the meadow. I then put a mountainous scene behind the middle ground.
NAME PROJECT
This was my first Photoshop project that I did this year, so I really hope to build off of it. During this project, our class went outside and looked for things that looked like letters so that we could arrange them in a way that would make our name. The "J" on my name is a skateboarding rail, the "O" is part of a file cabinet, and the "E" is part of the grill of a car. Again, this is a going to be a good project to build off of and compare other projects to.
